Dear PA TRIO Family.

Welcome to our first Virtual Annual PA TRIO Conference. It is an honor and a privilege to have served you this year as your President. The Theme, “Back to The Future”, serves as a journey through history of how our organization has grown since its inception. I look forward like all of my constituents to our Professional Development conference to both learn, network and receive information to further serve our students and institutions. The PA TRIO mission has always focused on what is best for students, and this is a continued goal at this year’s conference.

Nelson Mandela spoke these famous words, " Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” To keep in alignment with this famous quote we will continue to service our students and organization and encourage them to move beyond the typecast into equalization through education.

My membership with PA TRIO Organization has enabled me to take part in professional development, increase and broaden my knowledge in legislative policies and network with an awesome TRIO Family. The important professional development information I collect has allowed me to go back to my students and institution prepared for things that are on the horizon and garnish new and inventive ideas. You will be exposed to a wide variety of information which includes, networking, panel discussions, leadership discussion, STEM and self-care. You’ll find what you’re looking for at this meeting.

Please enjoy the Virtual State PA TRIO Conference on, “Back to The Future.” Your presence is an indication that you are committed to making a positive difference, not only in your own institutions, but throughout our state, regional and national organizations. As we work together as a collective unit PA TRIO will soar like wings of an EAGLE.

Yours in PA TRIO,

Christal Graham-Jones
